Growing up with a father and an uncle who served during World War II, William Fortunato always had a respect for the men who served during the Greatest Generation. “My uncle, in particular,” recounted Fortunato, “served at Normandy Beach so it was always a place I felt the need to visit. He suffered after the war with gruesome nightmares about a friend he was unable to save.”

Now, at a different phase in his life, Fortunato has his own family that includes a wife who always wanted to go to Paris in the springtime and travel the Rhine River.
