Vacation Inspirations, Charleston Travel Agency, Testimonial, Fortunato Family (Part II)

“We had a great time in Paris,” said Fortunato. “We saw the Eiffel Tower, ate at a few good restaurants, took some side trips, and ventured onto the Metro. We were even able to use U.S. dollars as opposed to Euro’s.”

The other portion of their week-long vacation took place on the river cruise. “It is something I always wanted to do and I’m glad that I have done it. I didn’t think I would get as moved as I did but Normandy was very sad. We stood over 10,000 graves…you can’t go there without being touched. The trip was definitely worthwhile. I was able to bring back a small bit of sand to sprinkle in my uncle’s front yard.”

Growing up with a father and an uncle who served during World War II, William Fortunato always had a respect for the men who served during the Greatest Generation. “My uncle, in particular,” recounted Fortunato, “served at Normandy Beach so it was always a place I felt the need to visit. He suffered after the war with gruesome nightmares about a friend he was unable to save.”

Now, at a different phase in his life, Fortunato has his own family that includes a wife who always wanted to go to Paris in the springtime and travel the Rhine River. So the best option as long time members of Vacation Inspirations? Travel to Paris for a couple of days for their wedding anniversary and then board a Viking River Cruise from Paris to Normandy.

The all-around experience Jodi and her family have had with Vacation Inspirations has been pleasant including their vacation locations. “We really enjoyed the bed and breakfast we stayed at in Kentucky. It was very quaint and I probably wouldn’t have found it on my own,” admitted Jodi. “There were nice restaurants and Mammoth Cove National Park was beautiful. It was exactly what my husband and I wanted for the weekend.”

Traveling and spending time with family is important to The Henderson’s and they want to share their experiences with others. “We would, and have, already recommended Vacation Inspirations to our friends who were scammed by another company,” said Jodi. “I am extremely pleased with our experiences and am looking forward to our upcoming cruise,” which of course was booked through Vacation Inspirations.

The Ponds of Summerville, SC (Part 2)

“Our level of community is one that Dorchester County has never seen,” Davis explained. “Many other areas are subdivisions, while we are a master-planned community. The amenities were put in place before the first homes were sold.”

Among the Ponds’ amenities are access to membership in the on-site YMCA, a 25-meter saltwater pool, the restored 1830s farmhouse that is part of the community center, five parks, two 20-acre ponds, an Amphitheatre and a 20-mile trail system.

We at Greenwood are very careful to be good stewards of the property and to give people more than what they expect. We can go on forever about this very special place. We appreciate the opportunity to develop this property in a sustainable way so people can always enjoy it. It is a unique situation.

The Ponds of Summerville, SC

The Ashley is more than just a river to the residents of South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Because of its length and innate beauty and the sense of direction it provides, it is more like a gift of Nature. The Ponds, a spectacular 2,000-acre community in Summerville, is at the headwaters of this historic river, at Schulz’s Lake.

“We are the highest point of navigation,” said an enthusiastic John Morgan, community manager at The Ponds. “This is the beginning of the Ashley River.”

The Ponds has more to offer than an excellent location and an eternal connection to one of South Carolina’s most picturesque bodies of water.

“We have a diverse range of multifamily homes, town homes and single-family homes that are blended together like a true Southern town. They aren’t sectioned off like most places you find today,” Morgan explained. “The Ponds is definitely a place where you can live, work and play.”
